Saturday Night, May 17th, The Iron Door Saloon welcomes
Ramblin' Jack Elliott, 76 year old Cowboy Folk singing and Storytelling
Legend for a "Special Dinner Show". A three-course feast of Salad, Bar-B-Que
Chicken, Ranch-style Beans, Vegetable and Dessert will be served and Jack
will hit the Stage at 8pm.
Ramblin' Jack Elliott is a recipient of The National Medal of Arts for his stellar contribution to American Folk Music. He has also been nominated for 4 Grammy's - and won in 1998 for "South Coast." He is revered from past work and alliances with Woody Guthrie, Bob Dylan, Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson and many more and he'll tell 'em too. He co-wrote 'Cup of Coffee' with Johnny Cash.
A life-long aspiring cowboy, he's rode saddle broncos and bareback horses. He still ropes and hauls around on cow ponies, though after trying to sleep curled under saddle blankets, he's become quite a Land Rover aficionado.
